My Name is Finn Leslie and I am 11 years old. I started karting when I was 9 years old and did my first race in April 2017 at South Yorkshire Kart Club.
I continued to race there every month for the remaining of 2017 season. 2018 season I entered the NKF Championship, still on my novice plates at this point going round as many tracks as I could collecting signatures to come off my novice plates and get my national B license.
Once off my novice plates I started to move up to the mid field position. At the end of the year I finished 13th out of 20+ drivers. 2019 I competed in 4 rounds of the Winter Series at Trent Valley Kart Club (PFI) racing with the top drivers In the country, finishing 24th out of 50+ drivers.
April to September 2019 I again competed in the NKF championship and finished the season in 2nd place out of 15 drivers. In 2019 I had my first MSA win at CKRC. I also had several 1st place and podium finishes over the year along with winning the Lakeland Challenge Cup at CKRC.
I am looking forward to the 2020 race season where I am competing in the TVKC Winter series, LGM Championship and the NKF Championship.
All this wouldn’t be possible without the support I receive from my family and my sponsors, SendSafely, GHL Bodyworks and Want2Race.
